It’s the first official What Life has Taught Me and I’m starting out with the classic tinder date story. Get ready friends, you know anything dealing with Tinder is classy 😉
What that Tinder Date Taught Me!
I admit, Tinder [ a dating app ] isn’t always the best way to meet people. But, I also confess, I’ve done my fair share of these dates. It all starts with a picture. If I think to myself, “Oh heyyy!” I swipe right, a little heart pops up and BOOM! If we match, a conversation can strike!
You have the typical guy conversation starter – “Hey” “How’s your day going?” …bore me.
You have the typical jerk conversation starter – “Hey, can I eat nutella off you?” …ughhh.
But every once in awhile, you get a guy that actually strikes your fancy and eventually I agree to meet this fella.
Meet: Pudding man.
I don’t remember what was mentioned about pudding during our initial messages, but whatever it was, it must have made a statement. We met at Cheesecake Factory where I was greeted with a bag full of snack pack puddings. Let me elaborate – 3 boxes of snack pack puddings all different brands. One pack was hot cocoa flavored and had snowman on it. While that might sound fabulous, our date was in August! What store in their right mind would be selling winter Christmas pudding in August!?! Let me answer that for you – none.
Where was this pudding from? I have no idea, possibly his grandmothers pantry.
Pudding man got to the restaurant first (15 minutes ahead of schedule) and ordered himself a drink of 2 shots of grey goose on ice. That wasn’t the end of his drinking. By the end of the night, he had ordered, if I remember correctly, 7 drinks. This means he had 14 shots of grey goose. 14!
The night continued with Pudding man asking me numerous times if he could kiss me, constant questions about my past relationships, asking why I didn’t wear a dress cause he likes my legs, leaning on me to walk back to the car and insisting I come lay with him in the drivers seat of his car.
So Tinder date, What have you taught me?
– I should never trust pudding with snowmen on it when it’s the middle of summer.
– I know what I want and it’s definitely not you.
Tell me, what has life taught you?!
