With the Superbowl in Arizona this year, there were so many parties that were said to be packed with celebrities. My friend scored VIP passes to the Leather and Laces party which is hosted by the Victoria Secret Angels the day before the big game. The night started with my friend struttin’ her stuff to the front of the line with a little, “Excuse me sir, we’re with the media!” – who knew she had so much sass!
In we walk, where we checked our name off the guest list and got asked if we wanted to cover the red carpet. This was our opportunity!! I could have interviewed celebrities, you guys!! But, let’s face it. Both of us weren’t really with the media and we didn’t want to look like complete idiots sooo….we declined the offer and headed straight for the open bar. I said it. Open bar.
We wandered around the VIP area for a bit, but celebrities don’t seem to show up until after 1 in the morning! So by the time they came, I may have had too much fun at that open bar to even recognize any celebrities faces. Whoops. We saw an athlete here and there, Cobra Starship, and Adriana Lima, but nobody else. Although I may have not seen them because I was too busy grooving, I can at least say I was in the same building as John Legend and other cool kids.
So what did partying like a celeb teach me?
– I have no idea how they do it. Partying til the wee hours, going to a huge event like the super bowl the next day, then hopping on their private jet off to the next event. It’s Grammy’s time! While, it sounds ideal…it has to be completely and utterly exhausting.
– Being able to cut the line and say you’re “with the media” … such a thrill, it should happen more often.
Tell me, what has life taught you?!
